ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is in search of an experienced Logistics Manager to lead the NSW Concrete logistics function. This role involves managing both company-owned and subcontracted fleet operations, ensuring adequate transport capacity to meet customer demands, providing leadership on safety and EBIT improvement initiatives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

• Expert management and coordination of company-owned and subcontracted fleet operations
• Ensuring optimal transport capacity alignment with customer needs
• Providing leadership and support for Safety and CoR compliance initiatives
• Diligent supervision of budget-aligned transport operations
• Strategic Fleet Management and maintenance of company assets
• Skillful negotiation and management of subcontract fleet contracts
• Oversight of fleet supervision and training team activities
• Spearheading Safety and EBIT improvement projects
• Building and nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

• Demonstrated leadership and managerial expertise in the Transport/Logistics sector
• Proven track record of successful cost management and business enhancements
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficient in influencing and negotiating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
• Deep knowledge of customer satisfaction metrics and ability to drive improvements
• Comprehensive understanding of NHVR and CoR regulations
• Extensive experience in risk and safety management practices
