ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is in search of an experienced Logistics Manager to lead the NSW Concrete logistics function. This role involves managing both company-owned and subcontracted fleet operations, ensuring adequate transport capacity to meet customer demands, providing leadership on safety and EBIT improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Expert management and coordination of company-owned and subcontracted fleet operations
- Ensuring optimal transport capacity alignment with customer needs
- Providing leadership and support for Safety and CoR compliance initiatives
- Diligent supervision of budget-aligned transport operations
- Strategic Fleet Management and maintenance of company assets
- Skillful negotiation and management of subcontract fleet contracts
- Oversight of fleet supervision and training team activities
- Spearheading Safety and EBIT improvement projects
- Building and nurturing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership and managerial expertise in the Transport/Logistics sector
- Proven track record of successful cost management and business enhancements
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficient in influencing and negotiating with diverse internal and external stakeholders
- Deep knowledge of customer satisfaction metrics and ability to drive improvements
- Comprehensive understanding of NHVR and CoR regulations
- Extensive experience in risk and safety management practices
