ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the WMS Operations project team, use data and research to optimize and improve the processes and operations within the DC network, in-line with the new WMS ANZ implementation. Your primary goal being to ensure the WMS software and related technologies meet all the business requirements of the organization. The functions prioritize connecting the functional requirements of a warehouse and its operations with the technical capabilities of the WMS system.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for performing tasks involved in providing support and implementing business critical production environments utilizing best of breed Warehouse Management Systems along with interface systems exchanging high volume transactions between internal and external applications. This role will interact with business partners to gather and document information related to requirements and software testing. The specialist will analyse business processes, develop and execute test scrips against requirements. This highly technical role will maintain a business model that reflects current processes and business rules while analysing the impact on future deliverables

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

  • WMS LM Champion – assist with national LM requirements gathering, attend design with MA, WMS LM system config, support UAT for LM product, provide training support for LM, and go-live support as LM Champion. For all future sites, this work would be repeated from Config onwards.
  • WMS Test Lead – Leading the WMS team members with the UAT. Assisting with writing testing user stories/test cases. JIRA monitoring and liaise with MA on issues resolution. Report test progression.
  • Face to face key stakeholder interaction to evaluate and analyze any existing warehouse systems, process, workflows, and data flows to identify areas of improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the warehouse operations
  • Collaborate with technical teams to configure and customize the WMS software according to specific business requirements, ensuring the system is set to support efficient warehouse operations
  • Develop user acceptance test scripts and work with end users to verify the functionality of the WMS system
  • Ensure project deliverables are consistent with the business processes.
  • Delivering High-Level Designs (HLD) to meet the business processes and system integration designs
  • Providing analysis as required
  • Provide an interface between business and project skill group resources.
  • Communicates progress against status reports, issue and risk logs as assigned by the project manager.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to design, development and test teams
  • Coordinate across the functional and integration design
  • Ensures engagement from application/solution architects to support integration design
  • Provide feedback to the Supply Chain Manager and Material Control Manager regarding enhancements or configurations needed to improve the WMS.
  • Participate in all phases of implementation and production support of applications and components in multi-technology, business-critical systems.
  • Hands on configuration of Manhattan WMOS WMS systems.
  • Gather requirements and design the most accurate and efficient solution possible.
  • Work closely with development team to ensure that all have an accurate understanding of the solution to limit rework to the minimum.
  • Maintain understanding of interface specifications and configuration options.
  • Document requirements and solutions according to the business SDLC process.
  • Follow change control methodology in day-to-day activities.
  • Work to establish, maintain, and update strategy (methodology, processes, standards, tools, services) used in implementing supply chain systems.
  • Ensure all PSI safety procedures, rules, and regulations are followed and met.
  • Serve as an SAP Super User for WMS, addressing warehouse configuration, put away logic, and master data challenges.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all data is ready for incorporation into the SAP WMS upon shipment arrival.
  • Retrieve and analyse data from the SAP WMS to prepare reports for various stakeholders, including material statuses, receiving performance, goods issue performance, inventory status, cycle counting process, shelf-life control, floor stock inventory management, and replenishment.
  • Develop and present weekly/biweekly project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Ensure the Material Control Department processes shipments correctly into the SAP WMS, identifying and correcting any issues.
  • Assist with data entry of material receipts and transfers into the SAP WMS system.
  • Function as the SAP WMS helpdesk, resolving issues with SAP WMS scanners or questions from Material Control Personnel. Seek assistance from other departments or vendors as needed to keep the SAP WMS system running smoothly.
  • Provide in-house Information Technology support.
  • Create and implement functional forms and documents.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with key players in PSI’s Supply Chain process to ensure goals are met.
  • Control SAP WMS related Quality Documents.
  • Complete all assignments as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • Hands on configuration of Manhattan WMOS WMS systems.
  • Analysing and reengineering repetitive failed processes to drive out risk
  • Work with Implementation and program management teams to transition new customer and development projects into normal day to day activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with co-workers, the business community, external customers, consultants, contractors, and vendors.
  • Stay up to date on current and future warehouse execution technologies, capabilities and trends.
  • Travel for projects as required
  • Follow corporate vision, mission and values in daily activities and follow the highest ethical standards in all activities undertaken.
  • Provides for 24/7/365 coverage as needed using on call rotation in support of operations under time constraints and pressure situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in a technical discipline
  • Strong functional understanding of Warehouse Management Systems
  • Proven business analyst history on WMS projects
  • Detailed understanding of data analysis techniques and client requisitions
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and customer-facing relationship skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in material control, logistics, or a similar supply chain field.
  • Previous experience with SAP WMS or EWM required.
  • Knowledge of SAP ECC 6.0 is a plus.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain and Logistics processes required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for data analysis and reporting desired.
  • Strong recordkeeping abilities.
  • Capability to arrange and conduct meetings.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience supporting or implementing Manhattan WMOS WMS systems preferred.
  • Must be able to display ability to logically work through problems to create solutions so business operations contractual service level agreements are maintained.
  • Ability to work well in distributed teams with effective communication skills to ensure their tasks and ideas are effectively understood. This includes but is not limited to proactively providing status updates, identifying areas and opportunities for improvement, and escalation of problems and issues to managers.
  • Good Communication Skills with high degree of verbal and written proficiency both technical and operational and a professional attitude.
  • Knowledge of enterprise hardware platforms such as UNIX and/or Linux servers and Oracle relational databases is a plus.
  • Outgoing, action-oriented self-starter who enjoys fast paced dynamic environments who works well individually and in a team.
  • Strong proficiency in Oracle SQL for application development.
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures.
  • Ability to read, write and interpret information.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to sit/walk/stand for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Must possess visual acuity, i.e., close, distance, and colour vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
