Our client is a rapidly expanding end-to-end supply chain consultancy, growing in North America and the UK. They provide expert advice and innovative solutions across procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, industrial real estate, demand planning, design, engineering, and construction project management.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The main purpose of this role is to coordinate and oversee all the project components to ensure achievement of Project objectives and KPI’s and completion in accordance with Time Management Body of Knowledge (TMBOK), time, cost and quality objectives of the Project.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will:

Operational Excellence

  • Working with an external client to understand their requirements, executing Project Requirement documents.
  • Design management in accordance with project requirements documents and in line with client expectations.
  • Integration of the fit-out requirements of clients.
  • Other management of client requirements, as necessary.
  • Define procurement strategies, prepare, and issue tender documentation for the delivery of international projects.
  • Resolve planning issues and gain / manage authority approvals.
  • Manage relevant consultants and contractors to ensure optimal performance.
  • Participate in the assessment of Developer/Contractor Proposals.
  • Assistance with technical aspects of legal negotiations as required.
  • Management of contracts, agreements for lease and leases as applicable to the project on behalf of clients, including consultants, contractors, and fit out contractors.
  • Maintenance of Project Plans and Programs.
  • Set up and maintenance of the various registers (e.g., Risk Register, Change Control Register, Lessons Learned Register, etc).
  • Set up and maintenance of the project monitoring tools and related permits.
  • The timely provision of the necessary project reports to clients and project directors.
  • Attendance at meetings.
  • Financial reports to clients as required
  • Financial modelling for global construction projects.
  • Managing instructions, change/variation, risks/opportunities.
  • Responsibly proactive for the financial and commercial performance of the project.
  • Delivering to TMBOK.

  • Ensures licenses and insurances are current and in place for appropriate jurisdictions.

  • Client Safety compliance with TMBOK.
  • Reporting of all LTI and LTIFR in line with expectations.
  • Ensures training requirements are met in line with expectations.
  • All work environments are optimised for safety.
  • No unmanaged safety incidents
  • No unmanaged injuries

Systems Management

  • Utilises internal systems in accordance with expectations.
  • Ensures appropriate training is undertaken in proper use of systems.
  • Oversees and manages the appropriate system usage of direct reports if applicable

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

  • Expert level experience in at least one Logistics discipline and thorough general understanding, in particular strategy formulation and / or transformation delivery.
  • Preferred experience in Retail, FMCG and Industrial products industries.
  • Knowledge and experience in business case development including NPV and IRR analysis.
  • Business analysis skills, with an ability to understand and critically assess information of all forms.
  • Able to develop informed points of views for program risks and issues, and to present these convincingly to an audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with senior client stakeholders to drive outcomes with dependencies on cross functional teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Advanced problem solving skills, even when issues are complex and intangible
