About the Role

The main purpose of this role is to drive growth in the Malaysian business by attracting and securing new clients, across international, local and government sectors. Core to the position is a professional, self-starting, proactive team approach in creating meaningful client partnerships that deliver solid business outcomes for clients across the supply chain transformation space.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes a robust market presence and maintains a successful business network.
  • Conducts thorough research for a focused business development approach.
  • Actively engages in business development activities, including cold calls, marketing, and networking.
  • Successfully converts initial contacts into sales meetings.
  • Introduces Head of Country strategically to maintain momentum and credibility.
  • Prepares high-quality pitch/proposal documents and converts projects.
  • Ensures timely and accurate forecasting & pipeline.
  • Consults with management and submits pricing in line with expectations.
  • Develops Account Plans for strategic clients aligned with company goals.
  • Manages the sales pipeline to reach targeted sales objectives.
  • Ensures client satisfaction throughout the project duration.
  • Actively participates in industry groups, building a strong profile.
  • Develops strong relationships with key contacts and executives within customer organisations.
  • Identifies new business potentials across key verticals in Retail, FMCG, Agriculture, and Food & Beverage.
  • Leads the creation of proposal/pitch documentation and RFQ responses.
  • Conducts accurate cash flow analysis pricing models.
  • Produces high quality reporting on time.
  • Communicates effectively, frequently & accurately.

Skills, Experience, & Qualifications

To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:

  • Proven track record of new business development ideally gained in the 3PL, logistics consultancy or warehouse automation industry.
  • Solid knowledge of Supply Chain Planning and transportation, previous experience in Solution Design an advantage
  • Exposure to property development and/or to managing complex industrial and/or commercial facilities is considered a plus.
  • Possesses strong commercial acumen.
  • Results-oriented and proactive
  • Excels in communication & interpersonal skills, including collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Demonstrates strong team leader attributes.
  • Capable of pitching and working with all levels within an organisation.
  • Ability to work internationally when required.
  • Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics is desirable.
  • Competent level suite of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams etc.), MS Project.
  • CRM software, Salesforce is a plus.
