Lead a High-Performing Queensland Logistics & Warehousing Operation

An outstanding opportunity is available for an experienced State Manager – Logistics Operations to lead a large-scale transport, warehousing and distribution operation across Queensland.

Based in Crestmead, QLD, this senior leadership role is responsible for driving operational performance, profitability, safety, customer service and continuous improvement across multiple logistics sites.

This role is ideally suited to an accomplished operations leader with strong experience in transport, 3PL, warehousing, supply chain or distribution environments who thrives in fast-paced operational businesses.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, the State Manager will oversee the day-to-day performance of Queensland operations while leading key customer, supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.

You will manage multi-site operational teams across transport, warehouse and distribution functions, ensuring operational KPIs, financial objectives and customer service standards are consistently achieved.

This is a highly visible leadership role with broad operational scope and the opportunity to drive meaningful business improvement and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

• Lead multi-site logistics, transport and warehouse operations across Queensland
• Drive operational efficiency, productivity and service performance
• Oversee freight movement, warehouse operations and fleet performance
• Improve loading efficiencies, operational KPIs and customer outcomes
• Ensure effective labour planning and operational execution

Financial & Commercial Management

• Full P&L responsibility for Queensland operations
• Deliver EBITDA and EBIT targets through operational performance and growth
• Manage operational budgets, labour costs and fleet expenditure
• Support customer pricing, tenders and commercial solutions
• Identify opportunities for growth, operational expansion and improved profitability

Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Build and maintain a strong safety-first culture
• Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and operational standards
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics operations
• Implement operational best practices and process improvement strategies
• Lead performance improvement programs focused on efficiency and service delivery

Leadership & People Management

• Lead, coach and mentor operational leadership teams
• Build a high-performing and accountable team culture
• Support succession planning, workforce capability and employee engagement
• Manage HR/IR matters in line with legislation and company standards

About You

You are an experienced operations leader with a strong background managing complex logistics or supply chain environments. You have:

• Senior leadership experience within logistics, transport, warehousing or 3PL operations
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated P&L management experience
• Proven ability to lead large operational teams across multiple sites
• Strong stakeholder management and customer relationship skills
• Sound understanding of WHS, compliance and operational risk
• Experience driving operational improvement and organisational change

Desirable Experience

• Experience managing logistics operations exceeding $10M annually
• Exposure to SAP, WMS or TMS systems
• Lean, Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodology experience
• Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Business, Commerce or related disciplines
