ABOUT THE ROLE
My client is a leading global supplier of premium carbonated mixers tailored for alcoholic spirits, operating in numerous countries worldwide. The brand was established to meet the increasing market demand for high-quality mixers that complement a variety of premium spirits. Its distribution network extends to diverse establishments such as hospitality venues and retail locations. The company’s operational strategy heavily involves outsourcing, enabling flexibility and scalability while ensuring quality standards are maintained through strategic relationships with suppliers, bottlers, and distributors.
The role involves developing and maintaining forecasting models, creating key performance metrics, recommending demand plans, and communicating changes effectively. The position also includes overseeing the demand planning process for the business, monitoring errors, and supervising team members to achieve production and inventory planning goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and maintain complex forecasting models that delivers business insights
- Scan data, warehouse depletions, external data sources
- External relationships and stakeholder management, inventory level management
- Create key performance metrics for both demand plan and S&OP effectiveness
- Develops and recommends a 24-month rolling demand plan in $/units for assigned channels of business which become the basis for operating plans and financial projections
- Documents assumptions underlying the plan and highlighting key changes
- Effectively communicates changes in demand with supply chain and financial organisation.
- Develops and implements a weekly item level plan, covering a required horizon, at the SKU, location level/ Multiple DC
- Monitors demand plan error at all levels of the process and achieves continuous improvement goals on demand plan bias and error
- Serves as the process owner for the demand planning process for the business
- This role will supervise, coach, and manage contributors to the Demand function
- Manage current and long term forecast projections to drive production and inventory planning goals
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
To be eligible for this opportunity, you will need to have the following skills and attributes:
- Experience of leading large teams across a variety of functions
- Experience within Supply Services, especially Demand Planning
- FMCG market knowledge
- BS/BA Business, APICS or in relevant field including Advanced Supply Chain degree
- 5+ years of Planning experience (prefer Beverage, FMCG Industry experience) with minimal 3 years in business analytics role
