ABOUT THE ROLE

The Test Lead for the new WMS project will play a crucial role in developing and implementing the WMS solution in alignment with the Supply Chain strategy. Reporting to the Environment Lead of the WMS Project, the primary objective of this role is to create and execute the test strategy for the WMS solution. Responsibilities include overseeing various testing stages such as functional, integration, interface, regression, and user acceptance testing, while also managing test scripts, prototype testing, and resolution of test issues. With a focus on project and resource management, the Test Lead ensures the timely delivery of testing deliverables and maintains quality assurance throughout the process. Additionally, the role involves providing leadership to testing resources and ensuring team effectiveness.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Test Management

  • Developing overall test strategy, including functional, integration, interface, regression, technical, volume and user acceptance testing
  • Developing test plans, timeframes and resource requirements
  • Managing development of test scripts
  • Managing and monitoring prototype testing, system and system stress testing
  • Monitoring test issues and coordinating resolution
  • Ensuring availability of test infrastructure
  • Administrating test documentation and results
  • Liaising with Data Manager to ensure adequate data is available for testing

Project Management

  • Ensuring test deliverables are delivered within timeframe and resources available
  • Liaising with core solutions management team to highlight and resolve issues
  • Overall quality assurance of the testing process

People Management

  • Provide leadership to resources assigned to testing, including User Acceptance Testing resources

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a Test Leader for similar systems implementations
  • Experience in test methodologies including verification and validation
  • Demonstrated experience in the planning, preparation, execution and reporting of test exercises
  • Experience in the management, reporting and resolution of system defects and issues
  • Ability to manage the test script development across the programme
  • Experience in managing teams
