The Position

The National Operations Manager will oversee the  daily operations of multiple 3PL warehouse sites,  including safety, inventory control, space management, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service. They will also be creating and implementing growth strategies and setting key performance goals to ensure services  are being delivered in a productive matter.

Responsibilities

  • Hiring key personnel and overseeing training programs.
  • Oversee daily business operations
  • Developing and implementing growth strategies
  • Training low-level managers and staff
  • Creating and managing budgets
  • Improving revenue
  • Hiring and onboarding employees
  • Evaluating performance and productivity
  • Analysing accounting and financial data
  • Researching and identifying operational improvement
  • Generating reports and giving presentations
  • Manage customer relationships and escalations
  • Imbed Safety first culture
  • Promote service offerings to all customers where appropriate

Qualifications, skills and experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business/Transport and Logistics or marketing is highly desirable.
  • Understanding the importance of delivering an exceptional customer experience to retain customers
  • Understanding best practice in 3PL operational procedures and processes
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking ability – Warehouse and Distribution
  • Extensive knowledge of the Freight Industry / Warehouse and Distribution
  • Best practise processes for Warehouse and Distribution
  • Risk Management Assessment
  • Scoping projects
  • Presenting complex information in a clear manner (written and verbal)
  • Strong executive level influencing and negotiating skills
  • Develop strong relationships within the business and our customers
